The mat itself would be mold resistance, but wherever moisture can hide, mold can build up. We recommend removing the rubberized feet and cleaning under them if your seeing or concerned about any mold building up. You can also remove the mat from the shower from time to time to allow it to fully dry as sometimes the air movement in a shower isn't enough to completely dry the mat especially under the feet.
