Our 22"W x 16.5"D heavy duty wall mounted shower seat does NOT meet ADA requirements. This is because it is a shower seat folding downwards, not upwards, and requires pressing both brackets to fold. ADA guidelines require a wall mounted seat to be operable with one hand, without needing to bend over, which our design does not accommodate. Therefore, this heavy duty wall mounted shower seat should not be considered ADA compliant for accessible installations.
