This is a great question as there are many ways to apply the teak oil. We recommend using a foam brush to apply the teak mat to your product. Typically the best thing you can do is make sure the teak is clean (using dawn soap and a nylon bristle brush) before applying any oil. Once it's dry, add the oil to the foam brush, and apply a light coat. The teak oil will soak in a bit if left alone, but make sure to wipe off any excess oil. Also make sure you are applying teak oil in an area that has some air flow as the teak oil does have a slight fragrance to it and can become quite strong if in an enclosed area.
